Library Launches “September Savings” with Local Businesses to Celebrate National Library Card Sign-Up Month
Published September 12, 2025
The Swampscott Public Library is excited to announce the launch of September Savings, a new community partnership designed to reward library card holders while supporting local businesses. In recognition of National Library Card Sign-Up Month, the program will run throughout September and offer exclusive discounts at participating businesses for anyone who shows a valid library card.
How It Works
- During the month of September, residents who present their [Town Name] Public Library card at participating businesses will receive special discounts and promotions.
- New library card holders will be eligible immediately upon signing up, making September the perfect time to join the library community.
- A full list of participating businesses and their offers will be available on the library’s website and at the library’s front desk.
Benefits Beyond the Library
The September Savings initiative highlights the power of partnership. By working with local businesses, the library is promoting literacy and access to knowledge while also contributing to the local economy. Businesses benefit from increased visibility and patronage, while residents gain additional value from a library card that already provides free access to books, eBooks, audiobooks, digital resources, and educational programs.
Join the Celebration
Whether signing up for a first library card or renewing a commitment to the library, September is the perfect time to celebrate. Residents are encouraged to visit the library, sign up for a card, and begin enjoying savings while exploring all the resources the library has to offer.
