Jane Austen Dramatic Reading & Birthday Party

Celebrate the month of Jane Austen’s 250th birthday with a short collection of dramatic readings from her novels, performed by local husband-and-wife duo Julie Butters—actress and Swampscott Library children’s room assistant—and Bryan Butters, history teacher. The pair previously performed at the library in honor of Shakespeare’s birthday. After the reading, enjoy light refreshments and check out the newest Austen-themed books in the library’s collection.
