Gentle Yoga for Adults on Swampscott Town Hall Lawn with Deb Leahy

Description of Program

Enjoy Swampscott’s amazing ocean views with breathwork and meditation. Class includes gentle stretching and strengthening, moving through six ranges of motion, and will conclude with savasana, a peaceful resting pose. The Swampscott Health Department has contracted with Deborah Leahy to offer this FREE program to Swampscott residents! Deb is an experienced Yoga instructor and has completed the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at the Yoga Loft in Marblehead with Larisa Foreman, the 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training at the Down Under School of Yoga with Natasha Rizopoulos and the 100 hour Meditation at the Down Under School of Yoga with David Magone. Deb also teaches Yoga for the Absolute Beginner, Yoga for the Inner Athlete, Senior Yoga, and Vinyasa Yoga. You must be at least 18 years of age or older in order to participate in this free Gentle Yoga for Adults program.

  • Wednesday, June 18 and 25 from 7:45AM-8:30AM
  • Wednesday, July 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30 from 7:45AM-8:30AM
  • Wednesday, August 6, 13, and 20 from 7:45AM-8:30AM
  • Rain date makeup class: August 27




Location:

Swampscott Town Hall Lawn

Please bring a yoga mat or beach towel/blanket. Water, sweater, sunscreen, and bug spray are also recommended. Parking is available on the surrounding streets. In the event of any inclement weather, including rain and/or extreme heat, the class will be cancelled
