Description of Program

The Swampscott Health Department is excited to offer a FREE Recovery Coach Academy to Swampscott residents! A Recovery Coach promotes recovery and removes barriers and obstacles to recovery. Recovery Coaches serve as a personal guide and mentor for people seeking or already in recovery from an addiction to alcohol and/or other drugs. Led by experienced facilitator, Michelle Simons, MS, LADC I, CADC, RCP-F, the Swampscott Health Department is excited to offer this program for the first time ever in Swampscott! The Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) Curriculum/Program will be used for this Recovery Coach Academy. The Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) is home to the internationally recognized Recovery Coach Academy©, and is the leading training program for Recovery Coaches worldwide. Their programs focus on the Art and Science of Recovery Coaching and are based on the fundamentals of coaching excellence. Come learn what it takes to serve others as a Recovery Coach by attending this program!

Participants MUST register for the entire series

  • Monday, June 2nd from 9:00am-3:00pm
  • Monday, June 9th from 9:00am-3:00pm
  • Monday, June 16th from 9:00am-3:00pm
  • Monday, June 30th from 9:00am-3:00pm
