I Have Some Questions For You

However, this is a truly excellent entry into the subgenre. It’s not just a mystery; it’s a thoughtful commentary on how society treats female victims of violence. Early on, the narrator asks: “What could be more romantic? What’s as perfect as a girl stopped dead, mid-formation? … Girl as sacrifice to the idea of girl.” – Viktoria
When Bodie Kane was attending boarding school in New Hampshire, her former roommate was murdered. The circumstances surrounding Thalia’s death are hotly debated online, but Bodie has been trying to forget her past. Thirty years later, Bodie is a successful film professor and podcaster, and the school invites her back to teach a week-long course. While back on campus, she can’t help but be drawn back into the case and consider its increasingly apparent flaws: in their rush to convict their prime suspect, did the police overlook other suspects? Is the killer still out there? As she digs further, Bodie begins to wonder if perhaps, back in 1995, she knew something that might have held the key to solving the case.
